Part Time / 20 Hours

Location: Summa Health Wadsworth‑Rittman Medical Center

Summary: Provides nursing care for all pre‑ and post‑operative surgeries/procedures utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, documentation, and education to assist patients and families with home discharge.

Schedule: Monday–Friday;
Part Time, 20 hours per week

Provide comprehensive nursing care before and after surgical procedures, including assessment, monitoring, documentation, and patient education.

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Associate’s degree holders considered but must obtain BSN within 3 years of employment.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (CCNE or ACEN).
• Current RN license in the State of Ohio.

• Current RN license in Ohio.
• Two (2) years RN nursing experience or one (1) year RN critical care experience.

• CLS required.
• BLS required.
• Effective communication with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
• Near visual acuity for accurate reading of gauges, thermometers, and monitors.
• Ability to work independently within established procedures.
• Professional judgment and decision‑making in individual cases.
• Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Summa service‑excellence standards.
• Team collaboration: accepting and offering constructive feedback, supporting team goals, encouraging teammates, and collaborating to problem‑solve and reduce costs.
• Ability to interact respectfully with diverse patient populations.

• Heavy:
  Occasionally exert 50–100 lbs, frequently 25–50 lbs, or continuously 10–20 lbs to move objects.

$33.15/hr – $50.38/hr (base salary only). Pay determined by experience and location.
