Location: Summa Health Wadsworth‑Rittman Medical Center

Summary: Provides nursing care for all pre‑ and post‑operative surgeries/procedures utilizing the nursing process. Responsible for patient assessment, monitoring, documentation, and education to assist patients and families with home discharge.
Schedule: Monday–Friday;
Part Time, 20 hours per week
Provide comprehensive nursing care before and after surgical procedures, including assessment, monitoring, documentation, and patient education.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Associate’s degree holders considered but must obtain BSN within 3 years of employment.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (CCNE or ACEN).
- Current RN license in the State of Ohio.
- Current RN license in Ohio.
- Two (2) years RN nursing experience or one (1) year RN critical care experience.
- CLS required.
- BLS required.
- Effective communication with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
- Near visual acuity for accurate reading of gauges, thermometers, and monitors.
- Ability to work independently within established procedures.
- Professional judgment and decision‑making in individual cases.
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with Summa service‑excellence standards.
- Team collaboration: accepting and offering constructive feedback, supporting team goals, encouraging teammates, and collaborating to problem‑solve and reduce costs.
- Ability to interact respectfully with diverse patient populations.
- Heavy:
Occasionally exert 50–100 lbs, frequently 25–50 lbs, or continuously 10–20 lbs to move objects.
$33.15/hr – $50.38/hr (base salary only). Pay determined by experience and location.
