Donation Attendant

Goodwill Industries of Akron, located in Akron, OH, seeks an entry‑level Donation Attendant / Stock Associate
. This role is ideal for a goal‑oriented, customer‑service focused individual eager to develop a career while serving the community.

Our mission is to help individuals prepare for, find, and retain employment.

• Accept, load, unload, sort, and price donations.
• Provide assistance to donors, offering coupons, receipts, and a friendly greeting.
• Organize clothing and household goods into categories and test electronics to ensure proper functioning before pricing.
• Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of donations.
• Promote safety by keeping the work area clean, void of hazards, and operating equipment according to safe operating procedures.
• Contribute to the development of service participants and support the mission of serving the community.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and load donations for clothing, furniture, and other household goods.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong customer service skills and a can‑do attitude.
• Good communication skills and awareness of surroundings.

This entry‑level position requires a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
