As a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician at our local retail store, your role will support and oversee repair within Walmart’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment team and assets by utilizing commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and using hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.

- 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance
- Large scale rack refrigeration experience
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls, or 4 years experience in the same field
- Completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R program and mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located (preferred)
- Maintain and repair Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools.
- Use the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations by performing work per Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

Minimum hourly wage range: $23.00 - $45.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
