The Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen in Wageningen seeks a PhD candidate to study the biogeography of plant-associated fungi on the Galapagos islands. This fully funded 4-year position starts October 1, 2026, allowing you to develop comprehensive research on plant-fungal interactions.
You will work alongside experienced researchers in an interdisciplinary environment and contribute to an inclusive culture within the academy. Responsibilities include investigating fungal diversity, supervising students, and collaborating with international partners.
