Social enterprise Kado Lokaal is looking for you to keep the shop running!

At Kado Lokaal you will find original and handmade gifts. Each with their own story, because made by students and clients, as well as by small local entrepreneurs and artists. In addition, Kado Lokaal is the address in the city centre for various regional products and nice plants.

There is no education during weekends and holidays, and no daytime activities. Particularly on those days we have many customers in the shop, so we need you to keep the store open!

• Keep the shop running for part of the day: open the store, start the cash register, water the plants if needed, help customers, wrap presents, answer customer questions, and tell the story of Kado Lokaal to inspire enthusiasm.
• Sometimes supervise a student from practical education or from the Pantarijn.
• Additionally, you may wash aprons, keep the store tidy and clean, create the roster, and contribute to communication and social media.

• Customer‑friendly attitude.
• Available at least one half‑day every four weeks (Friday afternoon, Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon).
• Able to work independently after an induction period.
• Open to English‑speaking volunteers.

• Work as part of a team of about 12 enthusiastic volunteers.
• Receive training in the ins and outs of the shop.
• The schedule is made at least one month in advance and adjusted to preferences. Usually two volunteers are scheduled to ensure mutual support.
• Volunteer contract provided to all volunteers.

Kado Lokaal is a gift shop in the centre of Wageningen; a collaboration between care organisation Zideris and the practical education of the Pantarijn. Kado Lokaal wants to contribute to an inclusive society that offers every person opportunities.

• Become a volunteer at ‘Samen Reizen met’ in Wageningen and help a child travel independently.
• We are Wereldwinkel Wageningen “De Uitbuyt”. We sell gifts from all kinds of cultures and fair food products.
• As a swimming instructor, offer people who cannot exercise independently a sporty and enjoyable swimming hour at De Bongerd swimming pool.
• We are looking for people (possibly on an on‑call basis) who want to help in the tea garden serving coffee/tea.
• For the cash register at the picking area, we are looking for people who want to help welcome customers, explain what is available to pick, and handle payments.
