Job Description

The Network Operations Center (NOC) Lead provides senior operational leadership, technical oversight, and strategic direction for a mission-critical Network/Mission Network Operations Center supporting 24x7 operations. The NOC Lead is responsible for ensuring the security, availability, reliability, readiness, and efficient operation of network and IT services supporting the MSC fleet.

This position supervises and directs a multidisciplinary team operating around the clock, establishes operational priorities, monitors compliance with contractual and performance requirements, and coordinates incident response and service restoration. The NOC Lead works closely with government customers, program leadership, technical teams, and the NOC East location to maintain consistent operational standards and ensure mission readiness.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical knowledge with proven leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills and will be capable of managing personnel and operations in a high-tempo, mission-critical environment.

Certification: DoD IAT Level III or equivalent
Experience: 8+ years IT experience; 3+ years recent leadership/supervisory experience
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Provide overall operational leadership for the NOC and ensure effective 24x7x365 monitoring and support of mission-critical services.
• Supervise and manage a team consisting of nine on-site Watch Operators supporting 24x7 operations and six Subject Matter Experts supporting Monday–Friday operations

• Establish operational priorities and ensure adequate staffing, coverage, and workload distribution.
• Ensure systems, hardware, configurations, and data flows remain operational, secure, and in a hot-standby/readiness posture to support MSC fleet requirements.
• Monitor operational performance and ensure services are delivered in accordance with established Performance Work Standards (PWS), task requirements, procedures, and contractual obligations.
• Identify operational risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain service availability and mission continuity.
• Provide after-hours and surge support when required by mission or operational conditions.
• Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and technical guidance to NOC personnel.
• Manage staffing, schedules, workload assignments, and operational coverage.
• Review and approve employee timesheets and ensure accurate reporting of labor and project activities.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching and feedback, and administer formal counseling when appropriate.
• Identify personnel development and training requirements and promote professional growth.
• Foster a professional, collaborative, safety-conscious, and mission-focused work environment.
• Ensure personnel comply with applicable company, government, security, safety, and operational requirements.
