This posting will be used to fill various School Security Attendant positions at the specified location. The authorized level of the position is School Security Attendant III. Applications are being accepted down to the School Security Attendant I in the event of recruiting difficulties.
Salary Range- School Security Attendant I, SR-07: $2,784.88 per month
- School Security Attendant II, SR-09: $2,899.72 per month
- School Security Attendant III, SR-11: $3,137.22 per month
Applicants must possess the ability to read, write and understand oral and written English, follow oral and written instructions, and perform simple arithmetic.
Experience Levels- Level I: General Experience 6 Months, Specialized Experience 6 Months, Total Experience 6 Months
- Level II: General Experience 6 Months, Specialized Experience 1 Year, Total Experience 1.5 Years
- Level III: General Experience 6 Months, Specialized Experience 2 Years, Total Experience 2.5 Years
Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for a position. The applicant’s overall experience must have been of such scope and level of responsibility as to conclusively demonstrate that the applicant has the ability to perform the duties of the position for which the applicant is being considered.
Certification RequiredAll must be registered as a Guard with the State of Hawaii Board of Private Detective and Guards, in accordance with Act 208, Sessions Laws of Hawaii 2010.
Salary NoteThe advertised salary is based on full-time employment and includes shortage and school year differentials, if applicable.
Application RequirementsApplicants must meet all the requirements for the position they are seeking as of the date of the application, unless otherwise specified. Unless specifically indicated, the required education and experience may not be gained concurrently. Calculation of experience is based on full-time, 40-hour workweeks. Part-time experience is pro-rated. Example:
Twelve months of experience at 20 hours/week is equivalent to six months of experience, not one year. Also, hours worked in excess of 40 hours/week will not be credited. Example:
Twelve months of experience at 60 hours/week is equivalent to one year of experience, not one and a half years.
