Overview

As a Pastry Cook 3 you will maintain, set up, produce, and control the quality of all bread, pastry, and dessert items. The position is full‑time and requires weekend availability and the ability to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare food items according to standard recipes and instructions, ensuring consistency of product (e.g., cookies, pies, dough).
  • Perform all prep work for cakes, pies, mousses, plated desserts, Danish, and organize and clean walk‑in coolers and freezers.
  • Store all food products in walk‑in coolers/freezers and dry storage, covering, labeling, dating, and rotating properly. Check expiration dates, especially for highly perishable items.
  • Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Monitor HACCP temperatures (hot and cold holding, refrigeration equipment) and maintain good food safety and sanitation standards, using sanitizing solution properly.

The hourly rate for this position is $25.34 – 28.15.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years pastry experience in a high‑volume kitchen or bakery, working with cakes, doughs, bread, cookies, etc.
  • Comfortable following recipes and maintaining consistency.
  • Weekend availability and flexibility to work varied shifts as needed.
  • Previous hotel or resort experience is a plus.
