Area General Manager

The Area General Manager is an accomplished hospitality executive with experience leading multi-property resort operations, a strong background in vacation ownership and hospitality management, and demonstrated success navigating union environments while delivering exceptional guest and owner experiences.

A leading vacation ownership and resort hospitality organization seeks an accomplished Area General Manager to oversee a portfolio of resort properties in the Waikoloa district of Hawaiʻi Island. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, team development, guest and owner satisfaction, and long-term asset value across multiple resort operations. The Area General Manager serves as the senior leader for the market, providing strategic direction to resort leadership teams while partnering with key stakeholders on operational, financial, and capital improvement initiatives.

• Provide leadership and oversight for multiple resort properties and their management teams.
• Drive financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability.
• Lead and develop General Managers and other senior operational leaders.
• Ensure exceptional guest and owner experiences while maintaining high service standards.
• Partner with HOA boards and other stakeholders to support property objectives and owner relationships.
• Oversee capital improvement projects, renovations, and property enhancement initiatives.
• Establish and execute operational strategies that improve efficiency, service quality, and overall performance.
• Foster a positive workplace culture focused on employee engagement, accountability, and development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and leadership experience.
• 7 years leadership experience within hospitality, resort, hotel, or vacation rental.
• 2 years executive hospitality leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing large, complex operations, preferably across multiple properties or locations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and operational performance.
• Experience leading and developing senior hospitality leaders and large employee populations.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, including owners, boards, and executive leadership.
• Experience with capital improvement projects, renovations, and property enhancement initiatives preferred.
• Knowledge of labor relations and union environments preferred.
• Hawaiʻi hospitality market experience.
• Ability to relocate to or reside on Hawaiʻi Island.
