Salary: starting at $57,000, full-time

Maui Ocean Center is seeking a Sales & Events Coordinator to serve as the primary on-site contact for group and private events. This full-time role is ideal for a highly organized, energetic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences. The Coordinator oversees events from booking through execution, collaborating across departments to ensure seamless operations and outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage group and private events from booking through completion
  • Serve as primary client contact and coordinate with Sales, F&B, Marketing, and Operations
  • Create and manage Event Orders (EOs) to ensure seamless execution
  • Oversee on-site event setup, operations, and breakdown
  • Conduct site inspections and client tours
  • Build strong client relationships and complete post-event follow-ups
  • Support marketing, special events, and sales initiatives
  • Manage event calendars, client meetings, and assist with payments
  • Travel as needed, including trade shows
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, marketing, or related field or 3–5 years of event planning experience
  • Sales experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Confident, professional communicator in client-facing environments
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs. and assist with event setup
  • Comfortable learning new technology (Rocket Rez a plus)
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and service-oriented with a positive attitude
Work Environment /

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and a 365-day operating environment.
  • Work responsibilities include a mix of in-office activities, on-the-road client engagements, and evening event support
