Position Summary:
Our office is open Monday–Thursday. We are looking for a Dental Hygienist for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and possibly an opening on Thursday. This temporary position runs from November through the end of February, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and experienced, passionate about providing exceptional patient care and knowledgeable about dental practices.

- Perform thorough dental assessments, scaling, and root planing as needed.
- Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, nutrition, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist with pediatric dentistry, adapting approaches to meet the needs of younger patients.
- Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and care quality.
- Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well with a collaborative team.
- Experience with Dentrix software is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry practices.
- Familiarity with taking radiographs.
- Previous experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in pediatric dentistry and four-handed dentistry techniques.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27 – 38 per week
