Overall Purpose of the Position: A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a nurse that has graduated from an accredited nursing program and is licensed as an LPN by the State of Hawaii. The LPN uses their training for performing quality nursing services for the care and treatment of patients in the offices.
MajorJob Responsibilities
Education/Experience:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing;
Licensure as a LPN in the State of Hawaii required;
Active/unexpired CPR/BLS Card required.
Skills/Knowledge:
Ability to manage several tasks at the same time; works overtime as needed; updates education on own as necessary; knows and uses principles of good body mechanics.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates effective communication and telephone skills; computer literacy preferred.
Equipment Use:
Medical equipment – e.g. nebulizer, pulse oximetry, EKG machine, glucometer, and that specific to area/clinic of primary practice.
Characteristics:
Physically fit to perform the duties of the position;
Willingly participates as a member of the nursing team; possesses effective organizational skills and maintains a "can-do" attitude.
Walking (85%); sitting (15%); lifts 25 lbs. with occasional heavier loads.
Hourly RateLPN starting @ $26.06 / MA starting @ $23.72; based on experience
