About This Role

The Manager Unit Inpatient is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing quality nursing care in a mixed Med Surg/Tele unit. This leadership role is ideal for those who excel in guiding nursing staff and ensuring efficient operations.

• Pay: $149,200 - $193,050/year
• Location: Wailuku, HI
• Facility: MMMC
• Schedule: Full Time

• Respond to patient/family complaints and advocate for patients and families.
• Monitor and coordinate patient care provided by nursing on a 24-hour basis.
• Provide nursing consultation to unit staff, peers, and nursing students.
• Respond to unit emergencies and direct staff in crisis situations.
• Listen to staff concerns and respond in a clear, calm, and timely manner.
• Ensure staff development and coordinate unit in-services.
• Schedule and assign staff according to patient care and budget guidelines.
• Attend and participate in nursing department and assigned meetings.
• Develop and implement plans/projects to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor and evaluate quality and appropriateness of patient care.

Education:

• Associate's Degree (ADN) required

Experience:

• Leadership experience required

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current RN License in Hawaii
