The Staff Nurse - Ambulatory Infusion position provides nursing care and services to patients and families, while also directing licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and nursing assistive personnel. This role is ideal for nurses who are skilled in patient care and enjoy working in a collaborative environment.
Highlights- Pay: $54 - $77/hour
- Location: Wailuku, HI
- Facility: Wailuku Medical Offices
- Department/Unit: Ambulatory Infusion Center
- Schedule: Full-time, Day shift
- Provide nursing care and services to patients and families.
- Delegate nursing care according to legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Administer medications and perform nursing tasks requiring knowledge and skill.
- Teach LPNs and nursing assistive personnel special tasks of nursing care.
- Verify staff competency to perform special tasks of nursing care.
- Function as primary nurse and total patient caregiver.
- Serve as resource nurse and act as preceptor.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned.
- Maintain clinical expertise and competency necessary for job responsibilities.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- One (1) year experience in area of specialty or completion of formal course in area of specialty within established timeframe.
Certifications:
- Registered Nurse License (Hawaii)
- Basic Life Support from A American Heart Association
- ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate by Oncology Nursing Society (to be obtained within one year of hire)
