Job Description:

The Installation Technician reports to the Installation Manager and is responsible for HVACR installation jobs for industrial, commercial, and residential customers. Key traits include decisiveness, initiative, tact, judgment, integrity, dependability, and effective communication. Interactions include customers, CPR technicians, the Installation Manager, Estimator, and Parts Runner.

Representative duties include:

Participating in ad hoc Installation Department teams for efficient HVACR installations.

Performing routine HVACR installations independently.

Assisting Senior Technicians in training new employees on installation protocols.

Conducting point-of-work sales for IAQ services, unit components, replacements, add-ons, and referrals.

Supporting IAQ and Service Departments as assigned.

Performing other duties as directed by the Installation Manager.

Qualifications:

High school diploma and post-secondary HVACR training of at least two years.
One or more years of HVACR experience, service or installation.
Strong communication skills, including reading and applying manufacturer instructions.
Physical ability to perform duties under Hawaii's weather conditions.
Commitment to ongoing HVACR skill development.
Interest in developing sales techniques for unit replacements, IAQ services, and contracts.
Hawaii operator's license and ability to operate fleet vehicles within 30 days.
Ability to work efficiently under time pressures, variable schedules, and weather conditions.
