Electrical Field Test Technician at EPC Services Company
EPCS has immediate openings for medium and high voltage electrical field test technicians. Successful candidates will join a team that performs testing and maintenance on medium and high voltage systems.
Responsibilities
Electrical acceptance and maintenance testing of medium and high voltage apparatus and all aspects of AC and DC control circuit verification. Participate in all EPCS and client safety and testing training programs. Assist with testing of power transformers, medium and high voltage circuit breakers, instrument transformers, switches, reactors, capacitor banks, grounding systems, switch gear and protective relays and control systems. Prepare quotes for testing work and write formal test reports for clients.
Maintain equipment and manage shipping and receiving. Significant travel is a key part of the job.
Minimum Requirements
Successful completion of Electric Utility Substation and Relay Technology program or similar program; experience in testing and maintenance on medium and high voltage systems or nuclear testing is a plus. Position subject to client mandated drug and background checking. Successful applicants subject to EPCS's auto insurance carrier requirements. Applicants must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B visa status) now or in the future.
