Job Summary

CTI is seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure System Administrator to support operations within a classified environment at the Track Lab facility or VFCC in Hawaii
. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of complex systems supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) missions. You will work hands‑on with customers, advanced systems, and distributed technologies while contributing to a high‑impact national security mission.

Location

This position is 100% onsite and based at Camp Smith, Hawaii. Remote or hybrid options are not available. Candidates must be able to maintain a daily presence on base to support mission requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Asset procurement, installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of system hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
  • Configure and manage operating systems (Windows and Linux), applications, networks (IPs, subnets, etc.), and network equipment (switches).
  • Configure and manage DoD and IC standard distributed authentication services.
  • Build up systems from “bare‑metal” in alignment with accredited baselines.
  • Ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software, and related procedures adhere to company and government policies.
  • Perform regular security monitoring to identify intrusions.
  • Perform daily backup operations and routine file archival/ purge.
  • Create, modify, and delete user accounts upon request.
  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization.
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures across multiple sites.
  • Establish, document, and monitor the company’s cyber security program implementation plan.
  • Maintain Video Wall System and displays.
Key Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of professional systems engineering or system administration experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience configuring, operating, and troubleshooting complex computing systems and network equipment.
  • Strong understanding of DoD and IC security policies, authentication services, and secure protocols.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with IP networking, subnets, switches, and distributed authentication services.
  • Active U.S. government Top Secret clearance, SCI eligible, and U.S. citizenship required for a security clearance.
  • Professional certification at IAT Level I (Security+ required; additional OS/CE certifications acceptable).
Beneficial Skills
  • Experience with Hadoop, HBase/Accumulo, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Familiarity with ACAS, Rancher, Grafana, and Cloud Security Gateway.
  • Knowledge of DoD and IC network infrastructures.
  • Experience supporting Joint IO Range or Defense Research and Engineering Network environments.
  • Ability to create technical documentation, tutorials, and procedural instructions.
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Jira, Confluence, Git Lab).
  • Capability to maintain facility video distribution systems and displays.
  • Experience performing remote or onsite break‑fix support.
  • Highly motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to dynamically prioritize workloads.
