Job DescriptionThe mission of Triangle Pediatric Dentistry is to provide comprehensive dentistry for infants, children, and teenagers, including those with special health care needs. Pay range: DAII $25–28/ hr (st arting)
Experience:
Minimum 5+ years
Required certifications:
- Radiology
- Coronal polishing
- Nitrous oxide (N2O)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and caring Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists and hygienists, ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic, and delivering exceptional patient experiences. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Chairside Assistance:
Support the dentist during procedures, managing instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort - Patient Care:
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean, organized environment - X-Ray Imaging:
Capture dental X-rays, adhering to safety protocols - Patient
Education:
Guide patients on oral hygiene, post-op care, and treatment options - Records Management:
Accurately update patient records and dental charts in EHR systems - Infection Control:
Strictly follow sterilization and disinfection protocols - Appointment Scheduling:
Help manage and confirm patient appointments - Collaboration:
Work closely with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and support
Qualifications:
- Dental Assistant certification.
- X-ray certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in dental procedures and instrument handling
- Thorough understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA standards
- A compassionate approach to patient care and comfort
