What You'll Be Doing
The Wake County Health and Human Services - Northern Regional Center serves targeted and categorical populations in Child Health, Immunizations, Women’s Health, and Acute Care for Adults and Children. Services are offered to insured, uninsured, underinsured, and Medicaid-covered individuals. Patients receive fee adjustments on a sliding scale based on family size and income. Laboratory and Pharmacy services support both the Health Clinics and Public Health Divisions.
We are currently seeking a passionate Clinic Registered Nurse to join our Northern Regional Center team. The Nurse will work as part of a team in a fast-paced primary care setting, directly contributing to preventive health for children and adults in the community.
The successful candidate will be skilled in working with diverse patient populations and committed to providing excellent service in a busy clinic environment.
Essential functions include:
- Administer immunizations, assist with procedures, and manage follow-up activities on labs, tests, and referrals
- Support Physicians and Physician Extenders by obtaining measurements, vital signs, and vision/hearing screenings as needed
- Complete forms, and access or input information into state databases and local hospitals
- Provide triage phone support and advice to patients on various issues
- May be cross-trained to work in other clinic areas
- Other duties as assigned

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing
- No specific experience required
- Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the North Carolina Board of Nursing
- Equivalent education and experience are accepted

- Spanish language skills
- Pediatric experience
- Women’s Health/Pre-natal experience
- Immunization experience

Monday-Friday, 8:15 am - 5:15 pm
Hiring Range: $29.55 - $39.90, commensurate with experience
Market Range: $29.55 - $50.24
