Tax Manager

Description Kforce's client in Wakefield, MA is seeking an experienced CPA to work in a paperless, technologically forward environment, focused in the area of tax at an established CPA firm. We have a large diverse client base that offers challenging work and projects. Responsibilities:
* Review and prepare individual and entity tax returns;
Business, estate, fiduciary, and gift
* Take the lead on client projects - tax audits, planning, business consulting
* Conduct thorough tax research and stay up to date with tax laws and regulations
* Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and ensure accuracy of tax filings
* Assist in tax planning and provide guidance to clients on tax-related matters
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting and tax-related tasks.
* Maintain client relationships and provide excellent customer service
* Work closely with team members to ensure timely completion of projects and deliverables
* Stay updated with industry trends and developments in accounting and taxationRequirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
* Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required
* 5+ years of experience in personal and small business tax preparation and consulting
* Proven experience in tax preparation and accounting services
* Knowledge of multi-state filings for individuals and small businesses
* Software experience with Microsoft Office and Quick Books
* Experience with CCH Pro System FX and/or CCH Axcess is a plus
* Strong knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles
* Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in paperless environment, independently and as part of a team
