Role Summary
Lead and manage the tax planning process in collaboration with clients and advisory teams to support long‑term wealth management objectives. Review and oversee complex tax returns for high net worth individuals and trusts, including federal, state, local, and foreign filings. Participate in estate planning and wealth transfer strategies. Define tax objectives, scope, and methodology while advising clients on broader business and financial decisions.
Identify and implement tax planning opportunities arising from legislative and regulatory changes. Leverage tax technology and workflow tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy, holding engagement teams to high technical standards. Serve as the primary engagement manager with responsibility for billing, realization, and collections.

- Review and oversee complex tax returns for high net worth individuals and trusts, including federal, state, local, and foreign filings, estimated payments, extensions, and audit support.
- Participate in estate planning and wealth transfer strategies.
- Define tax objectives, scope, and methodology while advising clients on the broader implications of business and financial decisions.
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities, including credits and strategies arising from legislative and regulatory changes.
- Leverage tax technology and workflow tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy, holding engagement teams to high technical standards.
- Serve as the primary engagement manager with responsibility for billing, realization, and collections.
- Build strong client relationships through regular meetings and proactive communication.
- Participate in networking, business development efforts, proposal development, and sales activities.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop associates by providing technical guidance and client management training.
- Collaborate closely with internal leadership and external stakeholders, including accounting managers, controllers, and executive leadership.
- Participate in structured professional development and leadership training programs.
- Contribute to non‑billable initiatives such as recruiting, mentoring, internal training, and thought leadership development.
- 5+ years of public accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA or Bar license required.
- Experience with high net worth individuals, trusts, estates, private foundations, and closely held entities (S corporations, C corporations, partnerships, and LLCs).
- Strong knowledge of fiduciary, estate, and wealth transfer tax planning and compliance.
- Ability to travel regionally, with occasional overnight travel.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods as needed (exempt position).
