Position: Day Program Skills Instructor

Location: Positions open in Wakefield, Woburn, or Beverly (MA)Salary: $18 per hourHours: Full time or Part time, Monday-Friday between 8am-4pm

Summary: Teach adaptive daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities and enhance their work skills through classroom and community services.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Teach adaptive daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Enhance work skills within classroom and community settings
  • Mentor individuals to enhance independence
  • Think creatively to adapt your own interests, such as art, music, and health & fitness, to teach individuals new skills
  • Develop and implement curriculum both inside and outside the classroom
  • Create and implement Individual Support Plans (ISP)
  • Plan and oversee community-based activities
  • Assess individual needs, help create teaching programs
  • Provide personal care and assistance to individuals as they strive to reach their goals
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma is required
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred
  • A passion and dedication to supporting our people
  • A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must pass a CORI background check, fingerprinting, and reference check
