The primary responsibilities include incoming inspection of complex components and performing inspection and Quality Control procedures related to purchased raw materials, components and subassemblies to ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications and standards. This role also manages, or helps manage, Persimmon’s Calibration System.

None – this is an individual contributor position with high visibility and critical path deliverables.
- Inspect incoming materials and parts from suppliers using visual and mechanical tools as required
- Review and verify First Article Inspection (FAI) from suppliers
- Use conventional and advanced inspection devices and methods to verify dimensions to drawing specifications
- Manage, or help manage, Persimmon’s calibration program
- Participate in MRB meetings for disposition of nonconforming materials
- Maintain records, data, and related information as required by Quality Management System
- Recommend improvements to QMS database to better provide information for improvements
- Proficient with GD&T
- Experience with CMM inspection; instruments utilizing PCDMIS is preferred
- Ability to set up inspection for intricate components with tight tolerances
- Able to interpret blueprints, schematics, sketches, and other design documents
- Proper handling of parts in Class 1,000 (ISO Class
6) cleanroom environment - Proper handling of Electrostatic sensitive (ESD) components
- Good organizational, communications, and analytical skills
- Working understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems requirements
- Comfortable with MS Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Power Point
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced, diverse environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Computer skills and knowledge of software tools for inspection data management
- 5+ years’ experience as mechanical inspector in a manufacturing, metrology, or machine shop environment using conventional and electronic measuring equipment
- Managed Master Gauge records and worked with external calibration suppliers
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred
- Position requires work inside cleanroom most of the day following all cleanroom protocols
- Work involves standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling
- Ability to grasp, lift, and move up to 50 pounds, and spend time on the computer
