OverviewDiesel Technician/Marine Engines opportunity summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Diesel Marine Engine Technician who is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing both routine maintenance and emergency services on marine engines (yachts, personal and/or commercial vessels) while making repair recommendations to customers.
- Perform quality repairs and maintenance on inboard Marine Diesel Engines as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) in a timely manner.
- Diagnose failure of vessels by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
- Dedication and adherence to all Company and industry safety standards.
- Inspect vital parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
- 2+ Years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/ fleet dealership or shop environment.
- Strong working knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., transmissions, engines, hydraulics, etc.), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
- Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient use of Caterpillar ET and SIS
