About

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Team in Wakefield as a PPM Scheduler. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of pre‑planned maintenance and minor works activities, including planning and resourcing of labour, ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are adhered to.

Production of RAMS and SSoW client‑dependent. Arrange the procurement and delivery of materials to site, inclusive of checking all quotations as required and ensuring works are completed efficiently and in compliance with Health and Safety legalisations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling PPM, reactive and quoted tasks for internal engineers (and appropriate verified sub‑contractors where applicable) to provide a professional and comprehensive service to all clients.
  • Ensuring tasks are planned and completed within clients’ target response SLA while balancing achievement and cost implications.
  • Planning maintenance to comply with legal requirements and customers’ convenience.
  • liaising with Project Managers / Engineers for proposed dates of any works.
  • Attending weekly planning meetings with the operational management team to highlight and discuss any planning issues and reviewing engineers’ workload to minimise non‑productive time.
  • Reporting concerns regarding SHEQ to the Head of SHEQ and your Line Manager.
  • Acting as point of contact and communicating job status to QS / GM.
  • Monitoring work progress and handling any issues that arise.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive work documentation, RAMS, SSoW, plans and reports.
  • Arranging engineers to take photos of site for the database to assist future site visits.
  • Providing management reporting information on unproductive work/travel time and details on the root‑cause analysis.
About You
  • Previous experience in scheduling of works is essential, ideally within the Power / Utilities industry.
  • NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience operating in a commercial, multi‑divisional organisation and dealing with clients and supply chain.
  • Good understanding of the MS Office suite.
