Role Purpose

The Junior Project Manager plays an important role in supporting the successful delivery of projects that improve the way our business operates. Reporting to the Change Manager, you will manage a portfolio of smaller projects while supporting larger strategic initiatives across the organisation.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career in project management and business transformation. The role offers exposure to a broad range of initiatives including system implementations, AI-enabled solutions, operational improvement projects and wider business transformation programmes.

You will work closely with stakeholders across all departments to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and achieve the intended business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Project Delivery
  • Lead the delivery of small to medium-sized business change projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Support the Change Manager in delivering larger strategic transformation programmes.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines and milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Coordinate project meetings, workshops and steering groups.
  • Produce clear project documentation including business cases, status reports, RAID logs and implementation plans.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed governance and project management standards.
Business Transformation

Support the delivery of transformation initiatives including:

  • Business process improvements
  • Organisational change projects
  • Digital transformation initiatives
  • Operational efficiency programmes
  • Customer experience improvements
  • Continuous improvement activities
Systems & Technology

Support projects involving:

  • Software implementations
  • System upgrades and migrations
  • Process automation
  • Integration projects
  • Digital workflow improvements
  • User adoption and training activities
AI & Innovation

Work alongside business stakeholders to help deliver projects involving:

  • Artificial Intelligence solutions
  • Automation technologies
  • Productivity tools
  • Data-driven process improvements
  • Emerging technologies that improve employee and customer experience

No previous AI experience is essential, although an interest in technology and innovation would be advantageous.

Process Improvement

Provide oversight and coordination of smaller operational changes by:

  • Tracking improvement requests
  • Prioritising activities with stakeholders
  • Monitoring delivery progress
  • Ensuring changes are documented
  • Measuring benefits realised
  • Supporting continuous improvement across the business
Stakeholder Management
  • Build positive working relationships across all departments.
  • Communicate project updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops.
  • Escalate risks and issues appropriately.
  • Support users through periods of organisational change.
Governance & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate project documentation.
  • Produce weekly project status reports.
  • Update project dashboards.
  • Track budgets where required.
  • Ensure project governance standards are followed.
  • Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement of project delivery.
