Site Manager - Cladding

Position: Site Manager - Cladding (Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with cladding and façade remediation experience to manage a fire-critical external wall remediation project on a multi-storey residential building.

The works involve the removal and replacement of existing cladding systems and the installation of compliant external wall solutions in line with current Building Regulations, fire safety requirements, and CWCT standards. The project is delivered under a Design & Build contract, with a strong emphasis on quality control, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Site Management & Coordination

* Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities

* Coordinate cladding operatives, subcontractors, access systems, and material deliveries

* Manage sequencing of works to maintain weather tightness and resident safety

* Liaise with the design team, employer’s representative, building control, and fire consultants

* Control site logistics, welfare, access, and security

Fire Safety & Regulatory Compliance

* Ensure all works comply with building Regulations (Approved Document

B)

* BRE   135 and BS 8414 principles

* CWCT Standard for Systemised Building Envelopes

* Ensure correct installation of A1/A2-rated materials

* Horizontal and vertical cavity fire barriers

* Fire stopping around service penetrations, windows, and interfaces

* Prevent works proceeding without required approvals, testing, and certification

Quality Control & Inspections

* Implement and manage inspection and test plans (ITPs)

* Monitor workmanship standards, tolerances, and alignment

* Identify, record, and manage defects and non-conformances

* Oversee snagging, remedial works, and final quality sign-off

Health, Safety & Environment

* Act as site lead for health and safety compliance

* Enforce RAMS, working at height controls, exclusion zones, and fire safety procedures

* Ensure safe removal of combustible materials and controlled sequencing of works

Documentation & Reporting

* Maintain daily site records, labour returns, and progress reports

* Ensure method statements and risk assessments are followed and updated

Required Experience & Qualifications

Essential

* Proven experience as a Site Manager on cladding or façade remediation projects

* Strong understanding of rainscreen systems, render systems, insulation, and cavity barriers

* Experience delivering works under Design & Build contracts

* Sound knowledge of fire safety requirements and Building Regulations

* SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS (Manager or equivalent)

Desirable

* Experience on fire remediation or EWS1-related schemes

* CWCT knowledge or façade-specific training

* Experience working on occupied residential buildings
