Freelance Quantity Surveyor
-Leeds area
An experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor is required to lead subcontract procurement across ongoing projects in the Leeds area with Main Contractor.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end subcontract procurement, including tender preparation, enquiry packages, analysis, and recommendation.
Negotiate subcontract terms and secure best value while maintaining programme and quality requirements.
Prepare and issue subcontract orders in line with NEC or relevant contract conditions.
Manage early-stage subcontractor engagement and support commercial risk mitigation.
Work closely with operational teams to ensure procurement aligns with project delivery strategy.
Support commercial reporting, including cost plans and procurement schedules.
Requirements
Proven experience procuring subcontract packages within a Main Contractor environment.
Strong understanding of NEC or similar forms of contract.
Confident negotiator with strong commercial awareness.
Ability to work independently and meet procurement deadlines.
Immediate or short-notice availability preferred
