Civils Site Supervisor

Elvet Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Site Supervisor on behalf of a growing civil engineering main contractor for ongoing work across Yorkshire. Established for 40 years, the company has built a strong reputation in Yorkshire and is experiencing significant regional growth. With a busy upcoming workload, a Site Supervisor is needed to bolster the delivery team. The work comes from the Yorkshire Water AMP8 framework (until 2030) and, as a capital delivery partner, the candidate will be responsible for delivering multi‑million £ water treatment upgrades.

Projects include waste water, pipelines, pumping stations, reinforced concrete, deep drainage, storm tanks and more. All work is regional and primarily around the A1/M1 and M62 corridors. The company aims to keep staff within an hour of home where possible.

• Assisting Site Manager in the daily running of the site
• Daily briefings with staff on site
• HSE toolbox talks
• Monitoring of H&S for direct labour & sub‑contractors
• Supervision of ongoing work on site
• Briefing of RAMS
• Ordering materials
• Site inductions
• Plant checks & permits

• Experience as a Site Supervisor on heavy civil engineering / infrastructure projects
• Experience with plant checks, toolbox talks, daily briefings and H&S within the heavy civil engineering sector
• Ideally experience managing direct labour and sub‑contractors
• Must hold CSCS, SMSTS or SSSTS and a full UK driving licence
• Beneficial: NRSWA, Temporary Works, Appointed Person, etc.
