We are looking for a Dual Qualified Dental Hygiene/Therapist to join our fabulous team at St Michaels General in Wakefield.
We offer our patients quality dental care with a strong emphasis on periodontal health and overall wellness.
Dental Hygiene/Therapist required to join the team on a Maternity Cover basis at our St Michaels Dental, Wakefield practice.
- Start Date:
Available immediately or a later start can be accommodated. - GDC registered Hygiene/Therapists will only be considered for this role with experience in practice as a Hygienist.
- Days and Hours available: 2x days per week with surgery space available on a Thursday and a Friday.
- 5 surgery well established practice of over 25 years.
- Mixed practice, both NHS and Private with excellent earning potential for private.
- Located within the same building as St Michaels Orthodontics which occupies the upper floor of the site.
- Joe Hendron and Catherine McCanny well known within the local and wider community.
Wakefield is a city in West Yorkshire, very centrally located for travel from the North, South, East or West – both the A1 and M1 pass close by, as does the M62 Manchester to Hull motorway. Wakefield lies just south of Leeds and north of Barnsley with Dewsbury to the west, and Pontefract to the east.
- GDC registration and UK Dental Hygienist or Therapist qualification essential.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality dental hygiene and therapy services.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain treatments clearly and motivate patients.
- Proficiency in using EMS Air-Flow One Guided Biofilm Therapy, Cavitron, and hand instruments.
- Experience with digital radiographs, R4 software, and intraoral scanners.
- Knowledge of current dental hygiene practices and preventive dentistry techniques.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Empathetic approach to patient care with a focus on building rapport.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with industry advancements.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including some evenings and Saturdays.
