HMP Wakefield is a Category A high‑security prison for adult men located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. It has a capacity of around 750 prisoners, with a current population of approximately 630.

HMP Full Sutton is a Category A high‑security prison located in East Yorkshire, approximately 11 miles from York. It accommodates around 600 adult male prisoners.

To be successful in this role you will need to:

• Teaching qualification and, where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification – commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months.
• Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
• Track record of creating stimulating, vibrant learning environments.
• Track record of achieving quality targets.
• Track record of producing accurate and timely reports.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to motivate and enthuse learners.
• Organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets.
• Positive team working.
