HMP Wakefield is a Category A high‑security prison for adult men located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. It has a capacity of around 750 prisoners, with a current population of approximately 630.
HMP Full Sutton is a Category A high‑security prison located in East Yorkshire, approximately 11 miles from York. It accommodates around 600 adult male prisoners.

Skills, Qualifications and ExperienceTo be successful in this role you will need to:
- Teaching qualification and, where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification – commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months.
- Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Track record of creating stimulating, vibrant learning environments.
- Track record of achieving quality targets.
- Track record of producing accurate and timely reports.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and enthuse learners.
- Organisational skills to prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets.
- Positive team working.
