This is a full-time Cover Supervisor role in a reputable and high-achieving secondary school in the Wakefield area. Requirements:

• Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (desirable)
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• A genuine interest in education and classroom management
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

• Supervise students during teacher absences
• Ensure pupils remain on task with set work
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy
• Take attendance and report absences
• Communicate effectively with teaching staff
• Ensure a calm and respectful learning environment
• Follow safeguarding procedures rigorously
• Support individual students when needed
• Promote high expectations and consistent routines
• Cover duties such as break or lunch supervision
