Reeson Education are recruiting a focused Attendance Officer Support professional to work in a structured school environment in Wakefield (WF3). This role suits someone organised, assertive, and confident working independently while enforcing expectations and procedures consistently.
About the Role:As Attendance Officer Support, you will work directly with pupils and families to improve attendance, follow up absences, and reinforce school attendance policies. You will apply a firm, professional approach, complete home visits where required and maintain accurate records to support sustained improvement.
Key Responsibilities as Attendance Officer Support:- Attendance Enforcement: Monitor daily attendance and punctuality, following up absences immediately.
- Home Visits: Conduct attendance‑related home visits where required (driving licence essential).
- Policy Application: Apply school attendance procedures consistently and professionally.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate attendance records and provide clear reports to leadership.
- Professional Coordination: Work closely with pastoral teams, leadership, and external agencies to improve outcomes.
- Experience in attendance, pastoral, education, youth services, or a similar structured role.
- A firm, confident communication style with the ability to hold difficult conversations.
- Strong organisation, follow-through, and attention to detail.
- A proactive, independent working approach with resilience under pressure.
- A full UK driving licence.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through Reeson Education.
- Competitive daily rate of £100-£140 depending on experience.
