Outwood Grange Academy are seeking a passionate Maths Teacher, who has a strong desire to help all children see and appreciate the value of maths. This is a full time permanent position with a start date of Easter 2026 or September 2026. Salary M1 to UPS 3 (£32,916 to £51,048).

The Academy benefits from being part of the Outwood Family of Schools, which affords opportunities for staff to work and progress across several schools if desired. All staff are guaranteed a minimum of two hours CPD per week and a further comprehensive programme of professional development is provided through our own network of schools. Our Executive Director for Maths leads Yorkshire and the Humber Maths Hub and there are masses of opportunities for you to get involved in the fantastic projects they run.

The maths department at Outwood Grange Academy has 18 classrooms based in our dedicated maths block, each equipped with an interactive TV and visualiser to support the delivery of lessons. You will be joining a strong department that ranges in experience from ECTs to more than 20 years  experience and members of the Senior Leadership Team. We also benefit from maths one to one tutors and a specialist numeracy TA who offer intervention to students.

The department is led by our experienced Head of Department with a vision to succeed. Leadership development, succession planning and capacity building are major priorities for the Trust as this enables us to facilitate rapid progression for those who want to advance either in the classroom or at a leadership level. You will be well supported by an experienced team of teachers and Directors as you work to raise attainment levels and offer an engaging curriculum experience that focuses on teaching for understanding.

The ability to teach KS4 and KS5 is desirable as we are committed to continuing to provide excellent Post 16 provision.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Maths lessons to KS4 and KS5 where possible and contribute to high attainment and engagement.
  • Support progress and raise attainment through an engaging curriculum and effective assessment.
  • Collaborate with the Maths Department and wider Trust to drive professional development and leadership opportunities.
  • Participate in continuing professional development and contribute to school improvement initiatives.
Requirements and Benefits
