Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant

Yorkshire and Humber / contract / £95 - 105 per day

Teacher Active is proud to be working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Dewsbury area, seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school is looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant on a long-term basis from September. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small group SEND support, assist with intimate care when required, and work closely with the class teacher to ensure pupils can access learning opportunities and achieve positive outcomes.

• Experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school
• Experience supporting children with SEND, including Autism/ASD and additional learning needs
• Confidence providing intimate and personal care support
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A patient, caring and adaptable approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
