Purpose
Provide Careers Information, Advice and Guidance to young people in secondary schools, colleges, pupil referral units and community settings.
Maternity Cover Roles (Level 6 Careers Adviser Required)We are seeking Level 6 qualified Careers Advisers with experience working in school settings on a term‑time‑only contract. Two posts are available as soon as possible, both providing maternity cover until 1 January 2027.
- Position 1:
- 15 or 30 hours per week, term time only, over 38 weeks per year
- Based in a Wakefield secondary school for 2 days per week
- Position 2:
- 15 or 30 hours per week, term time only, over 39 weeks per year
- Based in a Wakefield secondary school for 2 days per week
A small number of permanent hours (1 day per week) are also available as part of a combined package for the successful candidate(s). These hours relate to a home‑based digital IAG role supporting NEET young people. This permanent post will only be offered in addition to one of the maternity cover roles and not as a standalone position.
