This position requires a professional who is aware of strategies for improving learning, understands curriculum developments, and is creative in finding solutions to enhance student performance.
As Ofsted noted, our actions are directed and guided by putting 'students first.' Leaders set a strong example of high ambition, which is mirrored by all staff. We want the very best for our pupils in whatever walk of life they engage in.
About the DepartmentIn the vibrant Languages department at Outwood Academy City Fields, our educators thrive in a cutting-edge environment designed to foster effective teaching and learning. Our language curriculum is dynamic, encompassing Spanish up to KS4 and French up to GCSE level. We also pride ourselves on supporting the diverse linguistic backgrounds of our students through Community Language groups.
We are on the lookout for a dynamic individual who is passionate about the art of language education, specifically in French and Spanish. The ideal candidate should hold an Undergraduate Education degree or a degree in a language, complemented by a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).

A core duty involves effectively using student level data to identify areas for development and raise standards.

The role requires maintaining high expectations for all students and effectively communicating with students and their parents, both orally and in writing. The teacher is expected to work collaboratively as part of a team, sharing good practice across the department, and demonstrating creativity in problem solving and a willingness to adopt new approaches.
