We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and dedicated Teacher (ideally with a specialism in Maths) to join a specialist SEMH setting supporting children and young people aged 11-16 years with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Trauma and attachment difficulties
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Communication and emotional regulation needs

The Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils who may have experienced significant challenges in education
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment
  • Support students’ emotional wellbeing, social development, and self-regulation skills
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, families, and external professionals
  • Promote positive behaviour and implement effective behaviour support strategies
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, resilience, and independence
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Has experience working with SEMH pupils, SEND learners, or students with behavioural needs
  • Understands trauma-informed practice and relational approaches
  • Has knowledge of Autism, ADHD, attachment difficulties, and emotional regulation strategies
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Is patient, adaptable, and committed to improving outcomes for young people
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs
