The children, staff and Governors wish to recruit two enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced 1:1 SEND Educational Support Assistants into our school community to play a key role supporting the needs of a specific pupil in Year 2.

- Have experience of working with pupils within the EYFS or implementing an Early Years play-based curriculum
- Have experience in supporting children with additional needs – particularly those with complex social communication and interaction needs and sensory difficulties
- Have experience with use of a Total Communication Approach to enable pupils to communicate their needs and preferences effectively, when verbal communication is challenging. For example; objects of reference/talking mats.
- Have some experience of implementing an intensive interaction approach to support the development of social communication skills in pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism or complex learning difficulties.

- Support from the school SENDCO, SLT and wider staff in school
All staff are subject to an enhanced DBS check. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process. An online search will be completed for all shortlisted candidates as part of due diligence checks.
