Looking for a Pastoral Manager in Wakefield!

About the Role:

As a Pastoral Manager, you will play a key role in supporting students' wellbeing, behaviour and engagement across the school. Working closely with teaching staff, families and external agencies, you will help students overcome challenges and access the support they need to achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide pastoral support to students across the school
  • Promote positive behaviour and support effective behaviour management strategies
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality and student wellbeing
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents and carers
  • Work alongside safeguarding, SEND and teaching teams to support individual student needs
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to intervention plans where required
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational or pastoral setting
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A calm, resilient and professional approach
  • Ability to manage challenging situations effectively
  • Commitment to supporting student wellbeing and personal development
