The OpportunityEvery child deserves an advocate in the classroom. In this role as an SEN TA / Behaviour Support Worker, you will step away from general classroom management to focus on pupils who need specialized, tailored assistance to access their education.
We work with a wide array of fantastic primary and secondary schools in the Wakefield district. Working closely with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), the successful SEN TA / Behaviour Support Worker will provide 1-to-1 mentorship, adapt learning resources for neurodiverse pupils (including those with Autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties), and track daily progress. Your presence as a SEN TA / Behaviour Support Worker will provide the stability and structure these vulnerable learners need to build confidence and reach their full potential.
