Pay: £460-£650 per week (depending on experience)

GSL Education are seeking a Cover Supervisor (CS) to join thriving schools in Wakefield
. We want a confident and adaptable individual who can supervise lessons, support student engagement, and ensure learning continues smoothly throughout the school day.

This role provides valuable classroom experience while helping students remain focused, productive, and motivated in the absence of their regular teacher.

• Supervise classes using lesson materials provided by teaching staff
• Ensure students remain focused and complete assigned work during lessons
• Maintain positive behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
• Provide clear instructions and guidance where appropriate
• Monitor attendance and report any concerns to relevant staff members
• Support the smooth delivery of learning activities across different subjects

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• Confidence leading groups of students in a classroom setting
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments
• Professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
