OverviewA SEND Teacher role supporting pupils with additional needs in specialist schools and alternative provisions across Wakefield. The role focuses on building relationships, providing consistent structure, and delivering personalised learning.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver lessons tailored to individual pupil needs.
- Adapt learning to support pupils with ASD, SEMH, PMLD, and complex needs.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils who require trust and consistency.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, therapists, and the wider school team.
- Create safe, structured, and engaging learning environments.
- Support both academic progress and emotional development.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Pay rates quoted are inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position; it may become permanent later.
