We're recruiting for a specialist school supporting young people who have experienced exclusion, barriers to learning, mental health challenges, or difficulties accessing mainstream education. Every day is a chance to help a young person build confidence, trust, and a brighter future.

Your Role

As a Behaviour & Inclusion Practitioner in Wakefield, you'll:

  • Support pupils across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3 & KS4)
  • Work 1:1 and with small groups to build confidence and engagement
  • Support students with SEMH
    , SEND, autism, ADHD and additional needs
  • Use positive behaviour strategies and trauma-informed approaches
  • Help pupils regulate emotions and develop positive relationships
  • Create a calm, safe and consistent learning environment
  • Work closely with teachers and pastoral teams to remove barriers to learning

Requirements
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
  • Two recent professional references
  • Good understanding of safeguarding
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Passion for supporting young people to succeed
