GSL Education South Yorkshire branch are working with progressive schools in Wakefield (WF7) to appoint a Mathematics Teacher. We are seeking a committed and knowledgeable teacher who can deliver purposeful lessons, strengthen students' mathematical understanding, and encourage positive attitudes towards problem‑solving.

This opportunity is suited to a teacher who can bring mathematics to life, helping students understand key concepts and apply them with confidence.

• Deliver engaging mathematics lessons that support curriculum expectations.
• Explain complex topics clearly to help students build understanding and confidence.
• Use assessment information to identify gaps and guide future learning.
• Encourage problem‑solving, logical thinking, and independent learning.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom engagement.
• Contribute to departmental planning, resources, and student progress discussions.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential

• Previous experience teaching mathematics in school settings.
• Secure subject knowledge and the ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly are required.
• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and supporting student engagement is essential.
• A structured, patient, and adaptable teaching approach is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
