Up to £42,000.00 per annum

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are looking for a passionate and committed SEN Teacher to join our team and help deliver a high-quality, personalised education for pupils with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment where learning is tailored, inclusive and focused on helping every pupil achieve meaningful progress both academically and personally.
You will play a key role in creating a calm, engaging and structured learning environment, supporting pupils to build confidence, develop independence and succeed at their own pace. Working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals, you will ensure a consistent, trauma‑informed and pupil-centred approach to education and care.
In this role, you will:- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons for individuals and small groups
- Track, assess and report on pupil progress, adapting provision to meet individual needs
- Develop and review EHCP targets, behaviour support strategies and personalised learning plans
- Create a safe, stimulating and well‑organised classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff to maximise engagement and learning outcomes
- Support pupils to develop emotional regulation, resilience and positive behaviour
- Contribute to curriculum development and whole‑school improvement priorities
- Build strong relationships with colleagues, families and external agencies
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety and compliance requirements are consistently met
- Play an active role within a collaborative, multi‑professional team
- A relevant teaching qualification (e.g. QTS/PGCE or equivalent)
- Experience working within an education setting, ideally with pupils with SEND
- Proven ability to plan, deliver and adapt engaging lessons to meet individual needs
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to lead and coordinate effectively
- A collaborative approach and confidence working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, with a willingness to work towards further qualifications where required
- Willingness to undertake relevant induction and training on appointment
