Reed Education are working in partnership with a welcoming and community-driven primary school in the WF4 area of Wakefield to recruit an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time, long-term position starting immediately
.

This is a varied and rewarding HLTA role where you will work across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, playing a key part in delivering high-quality education across the school.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering planned lessons and PPA cover across all primary year groups
- Supporting teachers with planning, preparation and assessment
- Leading targeted intervention sessions to raise attainment
- Creating a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
- Supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEN and mixed ability learners
- Contributing to a school culture built on respect, inclusion and high expectations
- A good-rated primary setting with a strong focus on continuous improvement and pupil achievement
- A school driven by values of being supportive, inclusive, nurturing and engaged
- A curriculum that promotes balanced academic and personal development

- A recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Proven experience working within UK primary schools
- Confidence delivering lessons across all primary key stages
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
- Experience supporting SEN pupils and adapting learning
- A proactive, reliable and flexible approach
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive academically and personally
- A specialist education consultant with strong local knowledge of Wakefield schools
