Do you have a passion for supporting students with work placements?
We are recruiting for a Work Placement Officer to join our Care & Early Years department where you will be responsible for coordinating and arranging work placements for Health & Social Care students across Wakefield College and Castleford College.
Responsibilities- Sourcing and exploring opportunities for student work placements with vocationally relevant employers.
- Building strong relationships with such employers and liaise on candidate suitability.
- Promoting the value of work experience and work/ industry placements with students, enhancing progression opportunities.
- Support the delivery of readiness for work experience through group activity.
- Visiting students out on their work placement to conduct progress checks.
The role of the Work Placement Officer is varied, and every day is different with new challenges. You will get to meet and support students and employers as you coordinate the work placement process.
Required qualifications and skills- GCSE in English and Maths, A*-C/9-4 or equivalent
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or other related discipline
- Experience of working with employers in an educational or training setting
