Behaviour Support Worker - Wakefield

Rate: £90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

We are working in partnership with a well-established specialist school in Wakefield that supports students with a range of behavioural, emotional, and social challenges. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will:
Work on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to support students with behavioural and emotional needs.
Implement and monitor behaviour management plans, ensuring consistency and clear expectations.
Support students in developing social skills, self-regulation techniques, and emotional resilience.
Assist in maintaining a calm, structured, and positive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents/carers, and external professionals to provide effective support for students.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges and emotional needs.
A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and intervention techniques.
A genuine passion for supporting children and young people in their social, emotional, and academic development.
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).To be eligible, you must:
Have the Right to Work in the UK.
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to apply for a new DBS.Why work with us?
