Teacher Active is proud to be working with a number of friendly and inclusive mainstream primary schools across Wakefield, who are looking to recruit enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistants to provide day-to-day sickness cover and additional classroom support. Each school is committed to creating a positive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

The schools are looking to appoint Primary Teaching Assistants on a flexible supply basis from September. Whether you're looking for one day a week or full-time work, we can offer opportunities to suit your availability. You'll work across a variety of primary schools supporting pupils throughout Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, providing classroom support, small group interventions and 1:1 assistance where required.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

Previous experience working within a UK Primary School
Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
Qualified and unqualified applicants are welcome, providing they have relevant school experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, proactive and flexible approach
The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
A genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potential
